Many of the people who welcome guests to Poppies have been part of our story for decades, with some proudly serving for more than thirty years. Their experience and genuine warmth shape the feeling of familiarity that so many guests remember. We have more than 100 staff at Poppies. We can't show you all of them, but here are a few friendly faces you might recognise.

As Manager of Poppies Cottages, Sujana is that vital person who makes sure that everything behind the scenes runs smoothly, so that our Guests can truly relax and enjoy that famous Poppies service
Nengah, Purnama, Susenny, Andika and Rojak make up the team that will welcome you at the Reception desk
Made Subawa heads housekeeping, ably assisted by Putu Era, Komang, Made and friends
Gede, Putra and Made. Most holidays at Poppies begin with a friendly airport greeting from one of our three experienced drivers. They all do a wonderful job coping with today's traffic, and will get you safely along Poppies Lane, or around Bali on a day trip in style
One of our most talked about features is the swimming pool. Gus and Made Ali are the two lads who maintain it as well as taking care of swimmers and sunbathers
Our famous gardens would not look anywhere near the same without Head Gardener Mang Nik (left) and his group of green thumbs, such as Putra (middle left). Kadek (middle right) is a much-loved veteran multitasker. Gus Oka heads the laundry department (right)
Bu Alit’s long-held position as Chief Accountant has grown to incorporate many peripheral responsibilities.
Dewa, and his colleagues Dewi and Gek Oka (who also does HR for the Cottages) support Alit in the finance department
Gek Onix (top left) maintains our IT systems, and does our computer graphics and artwork
Biang Buda (top right) takes care of the spiritual welfare of everyone and everything at Poppies by placing the little floral offerings to the deities each day
Made Budi, Nengah, and their formidable crew keep us all safe 24/7
Engineering is headed by Dewa. He and Gede, Turah, and Dania keep Poppies running smoothly day and night. They are quick to respond to all emergencies
